Thursday Glow Doubles 2008

The Thursday night Glow doubles has gone through some changes from the time of its conception. These changes have taken place on the fly and without notice. This has been in part out of necessity and out of an attempt to make it as much fun and as fair for all as possible. The evolution of this event has deemed it necessary to publish a breakdown of how the tournament will be played. Debate and suggestions on what if any format changes will take place next season will happen during the summer and will be open to all members of the North Georgia Disc Golf Club.

From now until the time change when normal Thursday Doubles starts; Thursday Glow Doubles will be played as follows:

The Tournament Director for this event will be Wayne Kiddle Asst. T.D. for the N.G.D.G.C.
Tournament supervisor: Mike Eldridge N.G.D.G.C. Tournament Director.

Caution: The N.G.D.G.C. as well as the Cobb County Parks and Recreation Dept. are in no way liable for any loss or injury that may come from participating in this event.
Playing disc golf at night is in and of itself a dangerous activity. There are many hazards to walking around the park at night; extra caution should be taken in watching ones step as well as where we are throwing our discs. Weather conditions in the winter when this event is played can also add to the hazard, ice, snow, and storms can make this event extra challenging and dangerous. This should be taken into account when deciding to participate.
The Cobb County Parks and Recreations rules and regulations will be followed during this as well as all other North Georgia Disc Golf Club activities. A copy of Cobb Counties Rules will be posted shortly.

Time: every Thursday at 6:30 pm to approx. 9:00 pm 20 holes will be played

Free Hot Chocolate will be provided
Mini led lights will be available for $4.00 each
Hot Hands for $1.00 each
Fees:
Entry fee $10.00 - $5.00 of which will be paid out to the winners
Course fee $1.00
Ace fund $1.00
3 Additional CTP’s $1.00 Ctp’s change each week with the exception of #10 extra basket which is a free ctp each week, will also have additional prizes attached to it (random drawing to #10 CTP winner; prizes range from a candy bar to a new disc.. maybe even more)
All profits will go into improving the course

Format: this event is no longer an open draw doubles; in an attempt to make this event accessible to all players and as fair as possible; we will draw partners from 2 pools: the upper intermediate to advanced players will draw random partners from the pool of beginner to lower level intermediate players. This is not always going to work out perfect, and minor adaption of the theme may be implemented and at the sole discretion of the T.D.
This is to be a fun and low key event that anyone can win a little something at, and that we can all have fun participating in. Hope to see you all there
